People won't demand anything in WvW, you should understand how the format works. It's not a structured PvP with equal sides, here anyone can contribute to your side's success, so even a low level underpowered character is NOT a liability. This is what makes the format such a fantastic alternative and I'm sure I'll be playing it with low level characters just aswell as high ones.

With the information they have provided about levels in the game (being able to elevate a lower level player to be on par with everyone else in the party), it is quite likely that anyone can jump into PvP and be granted the same power level as everyone else. At least, one would hope so.

I love the world vs world idea... if its anything like what I'm thinking.... because having the ability to go out and gank a random group from behind engauged in combat seems fun.... or running into an area to get an item that helps your worlds economy out would make me feel rewarded.... (btw I don't even play pvp unless it JQ of FA for faction only)

I like the bees idea... could be fun... still not sure if I will like the combat system... (i dont like the way WoW does it and it seems to me that is the way they are shifting kinda)

i do like the combo between characters.. i play ranger and lighting my arrows through a wall of fire from an ele would be awesome

The firewall/water attunement/water trident thing sounds fascinating.

Then again, the Hamstring + Fire storm warrior sounded fascinating before people actually played one.

More infos plz.

If I only get a branch, but already use an Axe (which got me the branch), what benefit would the branch give me? And I like that they want to reduce and maybe even eliminate grind, but they can't unless they make the game short. Eventually you run out of things to do, and I have never heard of a game that offered infinite replay without introducing grind or making it repetitive.
IDK, turn around to the wall of fire behind you that the ele made, light the stick on fire, then light the Oakheart on fire, if the ele hasn't already done that :P

I don't think they meant that as to mean they're eliminating weapon drops so much as making the environment usable to you, whether useful or not. Makeshift weapons, turning boulders into meteors, ect. Maybe hack a tree down to fall on enemies, ect.

I think it's safe to say that the third screenshot teases at Warrior returning, even if it isn't aptly named the Warrior.

well written, very well written.

I of course have a few concerns about GW2 but who doesn't and I would put money on my concerns being someone elses hopes.

Loving the idea of a usable environment along with the hints about being knocked about instead of just on my arse.

Like I tried to suggest before, totally different game. Moreso than I expected, combat sounds very diabloesque, AKA you don't even want click to move when jumping over monster tentacles... and PvP will be not even close to what we know.

Now worlds can compete against each other, through the mists that separate them, for scarce resources that benefit an entire world. Joining this PvP competition is completely optional, just like it was in the original GW, but if you do compete you’re now going to find that your world welcomes you with open arms. You don’t have to join a party to join the fight. All you have to do is get out there and start helping. Everyone has the same objective, and if your world can get 501 people working for the same goal, that’s only going to be more helpful than 500 people.

I like so far. So no need for heroes or henchies. I wonder if there will be world alliances?

Neat. It looks like it's stopping the enemy from picking up their weapon.

The Elementalist's dress and hair look pretty cool too.
